Lobenberg: Alvaro Palacios L'Ermita spielt in einer eigenen Liga Spaniens. Die alten Superstars mit Tondonia Gran Reserva, Vega Sicilia Unico, Ygay Gran Reserva, Reserva 890...und die jungen, etwas modernen Rockstars Pingus, Las Beatas, Artadis El Pison. Dazu die neuen Superstars aus der Ribera Sacra und Valdeoras, Mencia in bester Form, weltweit einzigartig in der feinen fruchtigen roten Würze. Spanien ist in Europa und der Welt sicher in der ersten Reihe. Aber der König von allem ist, auch wenn ich es schwer zugeben kann, der L'Ermita. Die angestellten Vergleiche lauten Petrus und Le Pin. Und das kann der L'Ermita halten, er bekommt noch ein wenig La Tache obendrauf. Ich habe hunderte 'best ever' Bordeaux probiert, nicht wenige mit 100 Punkten, diese rotfruchtig intensive Schönheit ist vorne. Eleganz, Finesse, Intensität, Tiefe, Schönheit. Nirgendwo ein Fehler und doch eine eigenwillige Persönlichkeit. Einer der besten Weine meines Lebens. Zu teuer, klar, aber soooo unique. 100+/100

-- Suckling: An insane nose that makes you feel on top of the world. You need to pour this in the glass at least one hour in advance, and then it gradually starts to talk more and more, getting better and better, offering beautiful aromas of crushed violets, wild flowers, minerals, crushed blueberries, dark cherries and hints of spice, lard and moss. Great depth to both the nose and palate. Juicy and composed, with so many tiny grains of ultra-fine tannin that seep through during the subtle yet endless finish. Lingers for minutes. Drink now if you want, but decant it properly. Better after 2025. 100/100

-- Parker: 2020 was a low-yielding year because of mildew, so there are only 1,441 bottles of the 2020 L'Ermita, which reflects the variability in the old Garnacha vines. It was produced with a blend of 92% Garnacha, 7% Cariñena and 1% Garnacha Blanca Macabeo and PX. The difference between this and the 2020 Les Aubaguetes is the finesse and subtleness of L'Ermita and the class and quality of the tannins. L'Ermita carries the category of Gran Vinya Classificada, the top of the official vineyard classification in Priorat. 99/100
