Lobenberg: 30,1 Prozent Sauvignon Blanc, 69,9 Prozent Semillon. Der Alkoholgehalt liegt bei 14,1 Volumenprozent. Normalerweise immer vor Smith Haut Lafitte und Domaine de Chevalier mein Lieblingsweißwein in Bordeaux. In diesem Jahr wird es schwer, weil der weiße Cos, der Pavillon Blanc und der weiße Mouton einfach so grandiose Ergebnisse haben. Unglaublich fein diese nussige Nase. Aprikose, Aprikosenkerne, ein bisschen weißer Pfirsich und ein Touch Weißburgunder – der Charakter des Jahrgangs. Im Mund so fein. Weiße Blüten, weiße Früchte. Lang, dicht und reich. Keine Schwere, keine Üppigkeit von der Semillon, sondern alles bleibt total spielerisch. Was für eine ideale Komposition. Ein großer Wein, mit unendlicher Länge und wunderbarem Spiel. So ein weißer Bordeaux wie dieser La Mission Haut-Brion 2019 gehört einfach zu den ganz großen Weißweinen der Welt. In seiner unendlichen Komplexität, Länge und Mineralität. 100/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: Much more Semillon-based compared to its stablemate, the Haut-Brion Blanc, the 2019 Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc is 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. It's a much more subdued, classic Semillon, offering ripe peach, honeyed lime, sappy herbs, and chalky mineral nuances that show even more on the palate. Rich, layered, and medium to full-bodied, it's another blockbuster of a white from this estate that has everything you could want from a Bordeaux Blanc. It opens up beautifully with time in the glass, is flawlessly balanced, and just a thrill a second. It should evolve for 20-30 years as well. 98/100

-- Wine Cellar Insider: The sting of all that crushed rock, grapefruit, honeysuckle, white peach, lemon oil and star anise makes you take a step back and go for it again. Sapid in nature, the wine is rich, concentrated, juicy and mouth-filling with a crisp, zesty, sweet finish that does not quit. The wine is a blend of 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. It is interesting to note that this is the first vintage of LMHB where the Semillon was picked before the Sauvignon. 99/100

-- Neal Martin: The 2019 La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, formerly known as Laville Haut-Brion of course, is complex on the nose with peach skin, orange blossom and honeysuckle aromas gently unfolding with each swirl. As usual with this wine, it only really begins to 'sing' after an hour's aeration (something I can afford to do at home and not when tasting at the château.) The palate is poised and vibrant on the entry. Notes of orange rind, melon and white peaches dovetail into a more resinous, textural finish that fans out gloriously. This is outstanding, but one worth cellaring as it will repay bottle age. 98-100

-- Gerstl: Dieser überwiegend aus Semillon bestehende Weisswein ist schon ein Phänomen, insbesondere in diesem unglaubliche Jahrgang. Der Duft ist eher verhalten, aber überaus edel und raffiniert. Am Gaumen ein Traum, herrlich diese saftige Fülle, dieser samtene Schmelz, diese feine Rasse, diese verspielte Aromatik, das ist einer der raffiniertesten Weissweine die ich kenne, er schiesst wie ein Pfeil über den Gaumen und hat dennoch eine beinahe ölige Konsistenz, die Aromen sind überirdisch schön, ein ganz grosses, sinnliches Erlebnis.20/20
