Lobenberg: Alleine der Name Loibenberg klingt wie ein Donnerhall im österreichischen Weinbau. Der Riesling aus dieser berühmten Lage haut einen um. Ganz klare, geradlinig definierte Frucht. Sehr puristisch, perfekt ausbalanciertes Frucht-/Säureverhältnis. Prachtvoller Abgang der minutenlang bleibt. Großer Riesling vom Loibenberg, anders und klarer als die Wachau sonst oft ist, deutlich puristischer, dennoch trotz der Botrytisfreiheit ein fetter Wein und üppiger Stoff. 94-95/100

-- Galloni: Following a surprisingly heady, freesia-like floral nose, lime and apple team up for a performance unexpectedly bright, zesty and tart for a Riesling from this site, though less surprising when one considers the nature of 2014’s growing season. At 12.4% this is the lowest-alcohol Riesling Loibenberg Pichler and Krutzler have bottled, which translates to a delightful sense of buoyancy. There is pithy piquancy but also underlying silkiness. The long finish is shimmeringly crystalline in its fruit-stone interchange, penetrating and invigorating. 93/100

-- Parker: Picked on four exposed blocks inside the center of the well­known cru, on widely separated three days in October (7 to 19), Pichler­Krutzler's 2014 Riesling Loibenberg is very clear and zesty on the nose; the aromatics display lemon along with pure aromas of herbs and crushed stones. Medium to full­ bodied, intense and fresh, this is an elegant and thrilling Riesling with lots of tension and salt. The acidity is pretty high, but well integrated into a mineral­rich and grippy palate; the wine has a persistently salty finish. This is excellent Riesling to enjoy now, but will still great to enjoy in 12 or more years. 93/100
