Parker über:
Deutscher Winzersekt Extra Brut Nr. 3
-- Parker: The NV Deutscher Winzersekt Nr. 3 is a light and delicate assemblage of limestone-driven Chardonnay (20%), Pinot Blanc (30%) and Pinot Noir (50%) based on the 2022 harvest and assembled with 15% reserve wines from 2021 (10%) and 2020 (5%) aged in oak barrels. The cuvée was aged sur lattes for 18 months and opens with delicate white fruit (apple) and brioche aromas that keep the freshness and brightness of this immaculate beauty. Round, quite rich and juicy on the palate yet also dry, pure, precise and fresh, with nutty notes and a certain idea of oxidation, this is a light yet quite intense and characterful, seriously structured sparkling wine with limestone finesse. There are very fine oak tannins on the aftertaste, so fine, in fact, that only a very few would detect them. This is such a light and playful sparkling wine that one cannot resist. There is substance, salt, complex terroir, lightness, finesse, brightness, intensity and length—as if Kissinger had made Champagne for generations. Champagne? Winzersekt is from Rheinhessen and only Moritz Kissinger's fifth Sekt! 12% stated alcohol. Tasted in February 2025.
