Lobenberg: Die Reben stehen auf sandigen Lehmböden in 1.500 Höhenmetern des Uco Valley. Tiefes Violett mit pinkem Glasrand. Die Nase ist beinahe quietschig duftig. Potpourri mit frischen roten und lila Blüten. Himbeerlikör, Hibiskus, saftige Pflaumen und Blaubeeren. Im Mund offenbart der Wein dann eine phänomenale Würzpalette von exotischen Pfeffer Aromen hin zu frisch gedrehter Erde, zartbitterer Schokolade, Tabak und dunkler Beerenfrucht. Dicht und doch vibrierend mineralisch und frisch. Diese Stilistik ist das Kennzeichen der Rotweine von Matias Riccitelli. Die rund polierten und dennoch leicht griffigen Tannine geben dem Wein seine Spannung und Struktur. Das ist das neue Argentinien der Präzision und der Frische. Hier ist nichts schwer oder gar fett. Das Weingut ist eine sensationelle Entdeckung! 96/100

-- Galloni: The 2019 Malbec Viñas Extremas Riccitelli Los Chacayes hails from the Uco Valley and was aged in used French barrels. Purple in the glass. The nose comes directly from the Andean foothills. If you close your eyes, you might be standing on a mountain slope in Mendoza, enjoying aromas of thyme, huacatay and jarilla, to which the wine adds the variety’s classic plum and violet notes. Vigorous and fresh with intense flavor and depth and rounded, compact tannins that run right through to the energetic finish, this is a red that delivers an otherworldly flavor palette. 96/100

-- Parker: The 2019 Malbec Viñedo a 1.500 metros en Los Chacayes is a new Malbec from Chacayes, from the highest vineyard there, at 1,500 meters above sea level very close to El Manzano, a place with more rain and sandier soils, a cooler soil and cooler place on limestone gravels. This is the last Malbec they pick, and it has 14% alcohol but 7.4 grams of acidity. It has natural acidity and electricity and tension like no other Malbec. It fermented in concrete with some full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured in foudre for 16 months. This is super young, with great aging potential. Bravo! 5,000 bottles were filled in October 2020. There will be a Cabernet Franc from here too. 95/100
