Lobenberg: Handlese aus gemischtem Satz alter Reben. Spontanvergärung von nur teilweise entrapptem Lesegut. Im Zement vergoren und danach Malo im französischen Barrique, das Holz nur zu einem Drittel neu. Danach 4 bis 5 Jahre Flaschenlager bir zum release. Dunkles, erdfarbenes, fast schwarzes Rot. Die Nase birst vor süßer Feige und schiefriger, erdiger, süßer Maulbeere. Wucht und Fett mit überwältigendem Charme. Kaffeenoten, Holzkohle, süßem Teer, satteste süße Lakritze, Caramelle, hochreife Himeere und extrem reife Walderdbeere. Was für eine überwätigende Wucht! Der Mundeintritt dann mit Holzkohle, Kaffee, süßer Walderdbeere und süßer Amarenalirsche und hochreifer Zwetschge. Dabei extrem saftig und überraschend frisch mit satter dunkler Sauerkirsche. Soooo lecker und intensiv, wollüstig, erotisch, saftig salziger Süßholznachhall. Eine faszinierende Wuchtbrumme mit großem Charme-Faktor. Irres Zeug. 94+/100

-- Parker: Parker zu 2016: The textbook Mediterranean Bordeaux blend 2016 Gran Caus has one of the most beautiful labels in Spain and is now a classical red from Penedès from the era of the French grapes that have adapted well, despite the difficult Merlot, the one that ripens a lot and can achieve very high alcohol to ripen properly. In the 2016 vintage of warmth and very high concentration, the grapes had thick skins and little juice. The wine is herbal, spicy and round, with abundant dusty tannins, 15% alcohol and very good pH. This blend of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon produced 5,000 bottles. It was bottled in October 2017. 92/100
