Lobenberg: Krasse Mourvedre-Nase. Die Frucht ist Pflaume, eingelegte Waldfrüchte, Brombeere, Himbeere. Dazu viele Kräuter an gegrilltem Fleisch. Das ist schon eine andere Hausnummer als der Falaise. Dichter, wuchtiger, komplexer. Im Mund kommt sofort ein reifer Frucht-Mix, samtig, voll, dicht, etwas schokoladig. Die Tannine sind voll da, und sie gehören dahin, nie adstringierend, immer fein und geschliffen. Die Textur des Weines ist cremig und immer kleidend. Und der Wein steht lange, die Mineralität trägt mit angenehmer Säure den Wein nach hinten. Bei aller Kraft immer auch fokussiert. Warme Fruchtnoten im Spiel mit kühler Eleganz. Dieser Tropfen hat Sucht- und Lagerungspotential. Superb. 95+/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2018 L’Ancely is a more Mourvèdre-dominated cuvée that’s fermented in demi-muids and will spend 20 months in barrel. Loads of blueberries, new leather, wild strawberry, white pepper, and herbes de Provence notes emerge from the glass, and it shows a more medium to full-bodied, seamless style on the palate, with the tight, slightly closed style of young Mourvèdre front and center. With rocking balance, sweet, polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and a finish that builds with time in the glass, this is another remarkable wine that will evolve for 10-12+ years or more. 95-97+/100

-- Parker: More raspberry and cherry-fruited than most of the offerings here, the charming 2018 La Clape L'Ancely is mainly Mourvèdre, normally with around one-fifth Grenache or less. Like the 2017 did, the 2018 is aging in 600-liter demi-muids. Plush and creamy textured, this full-bodied wine is attractive already, finishing with notes of peppery spice and lingering, silky tannins. It's sure to be another in a long string of hits for this benchmark estate. 94-96/100

Das Château de la Négly liegt knapp 20 km von Narbonne entfernt im Herzen des Clape Gebirges. Das Gebiet war noch zu gallisch-römischer Zeit eine Insel, und erst durch Sedimentablagerungern entstand der Fluss Aude und es wurde ein Teil des Festlands.
