Alexandre Ma om:
Chateau Pontet Canet 5eme Cru
As I taste this wine, a question keeps returning to my mind: how can something so dazzling, yet so juicy and full, come into life? Is it biodynamics, extended gentle extraction, or fermentation without sulfur? I cannot name the reason, yet I feel certain of this; it is a gift, as if granted from heaven. As you draw closer, blueberry, cherry, bayberry, and blackcurrant cascade like a torrent of fresh fruit, pouring down from above and breaking into waves upon the palate. Then, the spice of pepper and Sichuan pepper rises, guided by a cool, vivid acidity that reignites the senses. Shortly after, tannins as fine as liquid foundation lift softly across the tongue, and before there is time to reflect, a touch of salinity drifts in. The entire experience unfolds in layers, expansive and dynamic, drawing you into its rhythm until you are no longer observing, but turning with it, dancing with it, and quietly surrendering to its flow.
