-- Parker: A bottling produced in the honor of Ângelo Augusto da Silva, an early 20th-century teacher, Barbeito's NV Malvasia 40 Years Old Vinho do Reitor offers up aromas of cedar, aromatic barks, raw cocoa, figs and spices. Full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, it's searingly intense, with racy but beautifully integrated acids, harmonious sweetness and an immensely long, pungently aromatic finish. 717 bottles were filled in August 2018. The blend includes a 60-year-old (and rather dry) Malvasia, an 80-year-old Malvasia and some of the 1954 Barbeito Malvasia. 94/100
