The 2021 Barbaresco Asili Vecchie Viti emerges from a parcel purchased in 1961. Soaring aromatics and brilliant, red-toned fruit are immediately captivating. Luca and Alfredo Roagna take all the classic Asili signatures and imbue them with stunning depth. Red cherries, blood orange, sage and mint all scream out of the glass, buffered by brisk acids that amplify energy. The huge, mineral-drenched finish wraps it all together in style. What a wine!
