Psicodelico
The 2022 Psicodélico was produced with a field blend of late-ripening local grape varieties, where around 70% of the grapes were white (mostly Macabeo) and the rest red, coming from an old field blend that contains Provechón (Bobal), Robal, Cribatinaja, Garnacha, from a vineyard called La Sotera in the lieu-dit of Heras Hondas in Alpartir on pure slate soils. It's a spectacular place that has a special energy, and when you enter the vineyard, you know it has to produce great wine. It fermented with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts in concrete with a long maceration, and it matured in used 300- and 500-liter oak barrels for 11 months. It has a moderate 12.5% alcohol and a very low pH of 3.11 and notable acidity (6.03 grams). It has a bright and expressive nose, different. It has some austerity and should develop nicely in bottle, making it more approachable and showing more. It's impressive for the year. 2,366 bottles were filled in July 2024.
