Suckling om: Chateau d’Aiguilhe

Ferrous, with rust, crushed dark berries and chalk. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, showing mineral precision, delineated yet ripe fruit and a compelling combination of fleshiness, definition and tannins. Saline finish. A blend of 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Already compelling but will improve with a couple of years in bottle. Drink or hold.

A beautiful red from the cooler, limestone soils of the Castillon region, the 2023 Château D'Aiguilhe offers up black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and floral notes. It's medium-bodied, clean, beautifully balanced, and elegant on the palate. It picks up a flinty minerality with time in the glass and is a beautiful 2023 that will keep for 15-20 years in a cold cellar. Drink 2026-2045.
