The 2021 Juffer Auslese (Gold Capsule) offers an intense and concentrated nose with savory grapefruit and ripe peach aromas and very fine raisin and slate aromas. Voluptuous and luscious on the palate, this is a mouth-filling, seductive and irresistible, weightless and seamless Auslese that pairs richness with finesse, crystalline salinity and purity. This is an amazing, ethereal but also hedonistic Auslese that has the delicacy, finesse and filigreed appearance of the Juffer-Sonnenuhr. Amazingly enough, the 2021 already tastes fabulous, and there are not many reasons to wait years or even decades to drink it, although the wine can last for decades to come. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. 97/100

A great botrytis Auslese with stunning mangosteen, passion fruit and mango character with floral honey drizzled over it. Gigantic depth and concentration, yet this wafts over the palate with apparent weightlessness. Sensationally vibrant interplay of super-ripe fruit and crystalline acidity. Very limited production. Drink or hold. 97/100
