Parker über:
Riesling Juffer Sonnenuhr Im Falkenberg (Versteigerungswein) Großes Gewächs
-- Parker: Selected for the very first time from a very stony and shallow part of the cru that always gives the lowest yields with the smallest berries, the 2019 Brauneberg Juffer Sonnenuhr 'Im Falkenberg' Riesling Trocken GG is intense, very refined and, in a certain way, soft on the nose that clearly represents the Juffer Sonnenuhr yet here with fully ripe (yet not overripe) and concentrated fruit reminiscent of apricots. Round, intense and juicy on the highly refined and balanced palate, the Falkenberg comes along like an Auslese trocken and develops a tightly structured, compact, dense and even rich yet always elegant and refined finish. The slate of the Juffer Sonnenuhr is always present and swirls around the super ripe and concentrated fruit core. Thus, the power is well-dosed and cultivated by a yeasty texture and structured by fine tannins in combination with delicate, highly stimulating, mouthwatering, salty acidity. All in all, the 'Im Falkenberg' is a richer, more massive and powerful yet still delicate, refined and elegant JSU, and it is most likely the more spectacular Riesling for wine lovers who prefer more textured and powerful rather than crystalline, refined and filigreed Rieslings. The first bottling, this 2019 was vinified in a 10-year-old 500-liter barrel. The wine might be auctioned in Trier later this year. Tasted as a sample in April 2020. 95-97/100
