Lobenberg: Eine Cuvée aus 60% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah und 20% Merlot. Dunkler Kern und purpurfarbener Rand. Das Bouquet zeigt schwarze Olive, Amarena-Kirsche, auch Thymian. Am Gaumen prägnante Tanninstruktur, Würzigkeit und dunkelbeerige Aromatik. Alles erscheint hier wie aus einem Guss. Der Ausklang hebt nochmals die getrockneten Kräuter hervor, die hier ganz prägnant sind. Ein Wein, der sehr zugänglich ist, aber unterm Strich komplex. Sehr gekonnt und mit viel Druck ungemein lecker und überwältigend charmant! 95/100

-- Galloni: The flagship 2012 Tenuta di Valgiano is beautifully resonant and generous in the glass, but also translucent in its ample beauty. Pine, mint, wild flowers and spices add an appealing upper register as the 2012 shows off its radiant personality. The Tenuta is a bit less overt and ripe than the Palistorti, but, it, too is not a shy wine. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. This is the finest wine I have tasted from Valgiano, without question. 95/100
