-- Decanter: Almost ethereal, impressively complex and long, showing a real presence in the spicy aromas and ripe orchard fruit. In the end, it is the elegance that is truly stunning. This wine is from Lafon's holding of more than a half-hectare in Genevrières Dessus. Three-quarters of the vines were planted in the 1940s, the balance was replanted in the 1990s. The fruit is pressed as whole clusters and run into mostly older casks - with a large proportion of lees - for fermentation. 97/100

It must be the sheer harmony of its gorgeous, sensuous mid-palate feel with invigorating acidic perk coupled with an exceptional aromatic diversity. Scented with mint, celery and verbena, the palate follows with yellow currants and cherries, nougat and hazelnut. 2025-40. 96/100

-- Galloni: The 2020 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru has a vibrant, menthol-tinged bouquet that bursts from the glass, touches of quince and yellow plum coming through with time. The palate is very well balanced with orange zest and tangerine, very harmonious and poised with a hint of apricot towards the finish. Delicious, exuberant and punchy.
