Llanos del Almendro Tempranillo
The 2019 Llanos del Almendro comes from the terroir that they consider to represent the elegance of the Atauta Valley, soils with 1.2 meters, sandy on the surface and sandy loamy as you go down before reaching the decomposed limestone mother rock. This is from 1.39 hectares in 19 micro plots, all ungrafted. The vinification and aging of the single vineyards is similar, by plot with indigenous yeasts in small stainless steel vats and aging in second-use barrels for 18 months. The wine is perfumed and floral within the powerful character of the year. It's really harmonious and elegant; the tannins are very fine, and it has superb balance. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.48 and 5.03 grams of acidity. 559 numbered bottled produced. It was bottled in July 2021.
