Lobenberg: Der Wein besteht zu 95% aus Marsanne Trauben und 5 % Roussanne, gewachsen auf reinem Granit, aus dem nördlichen Teil der Appellation Saint Joseph. Der Wein reift für 10 Monate in 500 Liter Fässern auf der Feinhefe. Ein strahlendes Zitronengelb im Glas. In der Nase eine Mischung aus tropischen Früchten und weißem Pfirsich, dazu auch ein wenig Aprikose und Orangenblüten, unterlegt mit etwas Rosmarin und Lavendel. Am Gaumen wunderbar elegant, rein und klar mit einer perfekten Mischung aus Frische und cremiger Geschmeidigkeit. 96/100

-- Parker: More mineral and complex than the generic Saint-Joseph bottling, the 2023 Saint-Joseph Lieu-Dit Saint-Joseph Blanc offers up aromas of Anjou pear, confit citrus, toasted nuts and spices. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated yet free of any fat, it is textural and complex, with a sweet core of fruit, lively acids and a resonant finish. This is a real success.

-- Suckling: The combination of melted-butter, mIrabelle-plum and toasted-baguette aromas makes this medium-bodied, creamy St.-Joseph very appealing. The toasty oak is very well integrated on the rich yet elegant palate. Long, silky finish. A cuvee of marsanne with a very small amount of roussanne. Matured entirely in oak casks, of which half were new. Drink or hold.

-- Jeb Dunnuck: Beautiful aromatics of orange blossom, spice, and crushed stone emerge from the 2023 Saint Joseph Lieu-Dit Saint Joseph Blanc, a concentrated yet vibrant white made from 95% Marsanne and 5% Roussanne, aged in equal parts new and used oak barrels. Nicely balanced and medium to full-bodied, it shows good freshness and a classy personality that will evolve beautifully over the coming decade. This is consistently one of the greatest whites from this appellation. It will have 10-12 years of prime drinking. Drink 2025-2037.
