Duftet herrlich nach Brombeeren, Kirsche, Vanille und Edelhölzern. Schwarze Oliven dazu. Opulent, saftig und verführerisch im Gaumen mit erstaunlicher Struktur und festem Gripp.

Pleasing crushed berries, lavender and hints of hazelnuts. Medium to full body, firm and integrated tannins and a delicious finish. Fresh and polished.

Galloni über: Chateau Les Gravieres Grand Cru

The 2019 Les Gravieres a wine of tremendous distinction, and a major sleeper. Ripe red cherry, rose petal, spice, crushed rocks, menthol and licorice are all finally sculpted. Reeders will find a deep, mineral-driven Saint Emilion of real distiction. The purity and vivit delineation of the flavors is just remarkable.

Jeb Dunnuck über: Chateau Les Gravieres Grand Cru

Coming from the talented Denis Barraud and all Merlot, the 2019 Château Les Gravières is a smoking good wine that shows the style and quality of this vintage beautifully. Lots of mulled black cherries, currants, spicy oak, chocolate, and floral notes all emerge from the glass, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a rounded, concentrated yet focused texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's in the same league, if not better than the 2018.

Das Weingut des gerade erst, viel zu jung, verstorbenen Denis Barraud, das auf den südlichen Stufen von Saint Emilion liegt, ist seit 1883 im Familienbesitz.
