Lobenberg: Et slot, der tilhører Lafite Rothschild. Næsten altid bedre og mere interessant end andenvinen Carruades de Lafite. 65% Cab. Sauvignon, 35% Merlot. En lignende konstellation som Clerc Milon på Mouton-Rothschild, selv om forskellen til førstevinen er ret tydelig her på grund af den højere andel af Merlot. Krydret, mørk cassis, sorte kirsebær, lakrids i næsen, men ikke for kraftig, stadig fin. Duhart Milon har haft fremragende år fra 2015 og fremefter. Og selv i 2018, med dette høje modenhedsniveau, er smagen overraskende frisk. Fin lakrids og igen cassis, sorte kirsebær, brombær, fine blomsternoter nedenunder, violer, alt sammen godt sammenvævet og med god harmoni. Ikke i besiddelse af storheden fra den udenjordiske 2016, dertil er den alt i alt lidt for velopdragen, men ikke desto mindre en meget god vin. 94-96/100

Den enestående årgang 2018 går fra succes til succes i Bordeaux. Efter et ekstremt vådt forår fulgte en perfekt, tør drømmesommer, der sikrede en fænomenal frugtkoncentration. På trods af mild syre imponerer vinene takket være en storslået balance, en silkeagtig struktur og uendelig finesse.

Sweet berries and cherries on the nose with sweet tobacco, lead pencil and blackcurrants. It’s full-bodied and very rich with layers of fruit and creamy tannins intertwined. Extremely long and creamy. Great Duhart. Try after 2026. 96/100

-- Decanter: A wine that is often austere during En Primeur but is here showing its seductive side with a generous texture lending a wonderful richness through the palate giving it the feel of a 2009, although clearly loaded with tannins, but of a softer style than 2010 or 2016. It has a juiciness rippling with bramble fruit on the attack, then the herb, slate and liquorice root come in through the mid-palate adding complexity and gravitas. 95/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2018 Château Duhart-Milon checks in as a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot that hit 14% alcohol. Beautiful black currants, smoked earth, chocolate, and damp earth notes flow to a medium to full-bodied, incredibly elegant Duhart-Milon that has ultra-fine tannins, a weightless texture, terrific balance, and a great finish. Seemingly all about finesse and elegance, it builds nicely on the palate and has a great finish. It should match or exceed the brilliant 2009. 94-96+/100

-- Parker: The 2018 Duhart-Milon is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, with the Cabernet Sauvignon harvested September 25 to October 4 and the Merlot harvested September 17-25, and it has 14% alcohol. Deep garnet-purple colored, it leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of Black Forest cake, plum preserves and crème de cassis with hints of spice cake, woodsmoke, potpourri and eucalyptus. Full-bodied, rich and laden with layers of black fruit preserves and spices, it has a velvety texture and just enough freshness, finishing long. Very impressive—the densest, most opulent Duhart I have tasted! 93-95/100
