Heiner Lobenberg om:
Chateau Clinet 2010

97–99+
/100

85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc. Alkohol 14,5 %. 97-99+/100

Gorgeous nose with lots of dark fruit like plum and blueberries. Crushed pepper and chalk with wild strawberries and vanilla. Dense and velvety on the palate with superbly polished tannins and great depth. It's absolutely gorgeous now but needs at least five to six years of bottle age to really shows its great quality. 97/100

Decanter om: Chateau Clinet

The definition of poised and confident, this has pretty much consistently delivered since the very first taste during En Primeur. Deeply layered, textured, confident and powerful, both very Pomerol and very 2010. Coffee beans and bitter chocolate are the dominant flavours alongside cassis and blackberry autumnal berry fruits. Both gourmet and restrained. Just about ready to go but will hugely benefit from three to four hours in carafe first, and will further improve over the next few years, and indeed over the decades to come. 97/100

Jeb Dunnuck om: Chateau Clinet

I continue to love the 2010 Château Clinet, and I'd say it's just now in the early phases of its prime drinking window. Based on 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, it has the powerful, full-bodied, structured style of the vintage as well as beautiful red and black fruits, spicy wood, tobacco, and graphite-like aromas and flavors. This classic Clinet blossoms with air and it's balanced, has ample structure and well-integrated tannins, and a great finish. I think you can safely open bottles any time over the coming two decades or more. Drink 2025-2044.

Parker om: Chateau Clinet

The blend is largely dominated by 85% Merlot, with some Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc also included. Inky/purple-colored, the wine has an exceptionally full-bodied, layered, moderately tannic mouthfeel and impressive power. Loads of melted chocolate/fudge and black fruits galore along with some coffee bean, mocha, as well as some background oak are all present in this big, formidably endowed, masculine style of Pomerol that will take longer to shed its tannin than the 2009. I would give this wine 5-6 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30+ years. 96+/100

Neal Martin om: Chateau Clinet

Tasted at the Union de Grand Cru in London. The Clinet 2010 is blessed with a compelling bouquet with ripe, succulent small dark cherries, blueberry and cassis that show outstanding control and delineation. There is a femininity here that I have not discerned on recent vintages. The palate is voluminous and complex with exuberant black fruit, cassis, black pepper and spice, the finish showing immense control and persistency. Outstanding – the kind of Pomerol fit for the finest Essex restaurant! Tasted November 2012. 96/100

Jane Anson om: Chateau Clinet

Grilled oak, touches of bitter chocolate and smoked rosemary and cumin herbs, this is clearly still muscular, cassis fruits, liquorice, slate, dark and bristling, needs another few years in bottle but it is on the way towards a brilliant wine. 60% new oak. Ronan Laborde owner.
