From a prime 0.17ha, east-facing parcel at the foot of the slope in Marsannay proper, this Chardonnay is fermented in cask (one-third new), on its the lees and aged for two years without bâtonnage. The resulting wine displays a lovely, exotic nose, showing aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and spice. The texture is dense, without being heavy, and the finish is surprisingly long. 93/100
