From a single vineyard of more limestone soils, the 2016 El Puntido is all Tempranillo brought up in French oak. It shows the more fresh, elegant style of the vintage nicely and offers brilliant cassis and blueberry fruits intermixed with lots cedar pencil, toasted spice, tobacco, and violet-like aromas and flavors. These carry to a medium to full-bodied red with notable purity of fruit, a good spine of acidity, and enough tannins to keep it evolving gracefully for 15 years or more. 95/100

I 1998 føjede Eguren-familien endnu en topvingård til sin portefølje - Vinedos de Paganos. Da de tidligere ejere på det tidspunkt frigav vinmarkerne ved foden af Sierra, som var meget vanskelige at dyrke, greb Marcos Eguren muligheden for at erhverve disse fremragende parceller med deres gamle...
