Extremely dense and compact, but with a wonderful feeling of lightness, this is one of the greatest German pinot noirs of this stunning vintage. So beautifully proportioned and so silky, this pushes close to pinot perfection. Such delicacy and precision at the super-long finish. Drink or hold.

This is again the coolest and spiciest Pinot Noir from Fürst! The 2020 Spätburgunder Hundsrück GG shows more forest fruits like blackberries and wild strawberries on the cool, ethereal nose as well as peppery and slightly toasty notes. Silky, fresh and elegant in the mouth and very compact, with plenty of grip and tension, this is a powerful and athletic yet also fine, juicy Pinot. It is still slightly astringent but also aromatic on the finish. It has perhaps a touch more accents than the Centgrafenberg. 13% stated alcohol. Tasted in Wiesbaden, August 2022. 96+/100
