Still very young with effusive, floral and herbal notes, this is a very complex dry wine that marries power and elegance effortlessly. Grows and grows in mineral intensity, as it heads off in the direction of the horizon. Some may find the very crisp finish a shade challenging, but for us this is exactly right. Great potential! 95/100

Tasted as a tank sample at the end of May, the 2019 Goldtröpfchen Riesling GG displays a radiant lemon-yellow color yet is still a bit cloudy. It is yeasty on the nose but with pure, fresh and flinty aromas of lemon fruit in the background that will come up after the filtration. Round and very juicy on the concentrated yet refined and elegant palate, this is a salty-piquant, well-structured and stimulating Goldtröpfchen with class and style. It is still too yeasty to get a clear picture, but the wine is compact, fresh and pure and on a truly high level. 94-95/100
