Ejet af den berømte Moueix-familie. Mørk sort rubinrød farve. Berusende aromatisk næse, fine skovjordbær og hindbær, blåbær, passionsfrugt, dominikansk cigarkasse, nougat og praline, et strejf af eksotisk appelsinskal svævende på fin mælkechokolade. Afbalanceret, fuldstændig harmonisk mundfølelse, silkebløde tanniner, kompleks og legende, god race og friskhed, der svømmer i den fineste sorte frugt og røde kirsebær samt vilde jordbær. Så utrolig fin og forførende, når op i klasse med den store 2008 med den uventede store finesse fra 2009 sadlet på toppen. Dette er en meget fin vin. 95-97+/100

I Bordeaux betragtes 2009 som en absolut triumf for moden fylde. En perfekt drømmesommer gav Cabernet-druerne rekordhøje sukkerindhold og en fænomenal tæthed. På trods af den enorme koncentration imponerer vinene med en overjordisk smidighed, silkeagtige tanniner og en umiddelbar, charmerende tilgængelighed.

A wine that is smoky and meaty, with hints of dried dark fruits. Full and juicy, with velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Loads of cocoa character. Balanced and pretty. Try it after 2018. Tasted in March 2012. 93/100

While this is not the 1961, 1959, 1950, 1948, or 1947, in my professional career, the 2009 is the greatest Latour a Pomerol I have tasted. Reminiscent of a hypothetical blend of the 1982 and 1970, it displays a dense purple color as well as a beautiful nose of black truffles, smoky meat, plums, black currants, sweet cherries, and loamy earth. A lush texture, full-bodied opulence, fabulous purity, and lots of power (nearly 14% natural alcohol) suggest it will drink well for 20-25 years. 92-94/100

A nice, old-school style, with roasted mesquite, tobacco leaf and espresso flavors up front, following through to bittersweet ganache and mulled dark currant notes on the still–slightly taut, but well-framed, finish. Should flesh out a bit more with cellaring. Best from 2014 through 2030. 2,200 cases made. 93/100
