The 2019 Saint Joseph Les Granits is another rich, mouth-filling, structured wine from the team at Chapoutier that will benefit from bottle age. Black cherries, truffle, subtle smoke, and ground herbs all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with building tannins and a great finish. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 15. 95+/100

The brassy-hued, full-bodied 2019 Saint-Joseph Blanc Les Granits is 100% Marsanne, barrel fermented and matured. Ripe and opulent, with notes of honeyed citrus, toasted grain, pineapple and melon, it's silky-textured and long on the finish. This is surely one of the stars of the appellation, with perhaps a decade of longevity ahead of it. 94/100
