The 2021 Riesling Graacher Himmelreich Auslese * (Golden Capsule) offers a clear, pure and refined but also intense, beautifully aromatic nose of raisins and pink fruits. Round, lush and refined on the palate, with sweet raisin but also hazelnut and walnut notes, this is a fabulous, absolutely delicious 'Trinkauslese' (a digestible Auslese) that is highly stimulating in its precision, savoriness and balance. The wine is tightly structured but also filigreed and fresh, with fine grapefruit bitters on the stimulating finish. Gorgeous but still very young. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. 94/100
