The 2019 Chardonnay Mays Canyon comes from vines planted in 1993 and farmed using organic and biodynamic methods. It offers pure scents of quince and golden apple, with tones of honeycomb, flint, roasted almonds, crème fraîche and lemon peel. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and seamlessly fresh, expanding across the palate with dynamic character, segueing from shimmery mineral to savory honey tones, and it finishes with fantastic persistence. 225 cases were made. 95/100

Some lovely, layered aromas of lemon curd, pears, sage and dried flowers. Medium-bodied with an enticing, smooth texture and good presence on the palate.
