A very youthful Mont de Milieu. Winemaker Olivier Bailly noted that if you want to drink this young, make sure it is decanted for at least an hour. Greenish tint in the glass, aromas of white peach and pear. A premier cru cut with vibrant acidity, finishing with some mineral and saline notes. They own 3ha here, ranging from the bottom to the top of the Mont de Milieu slope. Has a very bright future. 94/100

Cropped at a meager 15 hectoliters per hectare, the 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu delivers aromas of sweet citrus oil, white flowers and oyster shells, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless palate with good concentration and an electric spine of acidity. 92+/100

The 2021 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a small reduction on the nose from a few barrels that had not settled by the time of my visit. The palate is promising with good substance, fine acidity, and unlike some other cuvées, has good grip with more persistence on the finish. Very fine. 91-93/100
