The 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Clos des Papes wafts from the glass with a grilled, reductive bouquet of toasted almonds, flowers and grapefruit. Full-bodied, fleshy and round, it's suave and seamless, with gentle tannic grip and gastronomic bitterness that carries through the long, precise finish. This is a vintage that reveals its full force and generosity while remaining beautifully framed by generous dry extract that lends a striking minerality and salinity to the whole.

Citrusy and grapefruit-led thanks to the Bourboulenc. Touch of anise, touch of fennel, lovely acidity and freshness, with a gentle saline line.
