The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée A Tempo (60% Clairette, 20% Grenache Blanc, and the rest Bourboulenc and Roussanne) is stunning and on another level. It offers beautiful ripe peach, Meyer lemon, quince, and spice aromatics as well as plenty of undeniable minerality. It offers elegance, plenty of fruit, terrific concentration, and again, this salty, mineral quality that keeps you coming back to the glass. It’s a more powerful, concentrated, sexy white compared to the more chiseled 2017 and is unquestionably up with the finest efforts in the vintage. 95-97+/100
