Lobenberg: Christian Moueix' mest kultiverede og ædle vinmark. Ofte en af de tre bedste vingårde i Pomerol, i hvert fald hvad angår kulten i Pomerol. Kun 7 hektar. Grus og masser af sort ler med jernholdig jordbund. Nabo til Le Pin og VCC. 95 % Merlot, 5 % Cabernet Franc. Beliggende i det bedste område i Pomerol. I umiddelbar nærhed af Le Pin og Enclos Tourmaline. Guillot Clauzel ligger også i nabolaget. Det er det bedste terroir. Den første 2017 fra Moueix, som jeg fandt helt overbevisende. Smuk, velduftende, sorte kirsebær, fyldig. Fin appelsinskal. Næsten overekstraheret i munden. Tanninen er skarp og lidt bidende. God syre, men jeg kan ikke rigtig lide balancen. Medium længde. Der mangler kød i midten. Frem for alt mangler den den elegante elegance og sødme fra de sidste to år. God Pomerol, men jeg synes, den mangler lækker smag. Den er bare for sminket til mig, som den skal være. 94-96/100

A very pure nose that exudes poise and precision, in every aspect of this wine’s composition. Aromas of violets, blueberries, cedar, fresh truffle, wet earth and plums lead to a palate that offers a very full, plush and intense core of pristinely ripened red-plum fruit and mouthwatering freshness, as well as tannins that imbue the long, balanced finish with great clarity. Incredible triumph for the vintage. Try from 2023. 99/100

-- Parker: A final blend of 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Trotanoy opens with expressive red and black fruit notes including redcurrant jelly, kirsch, Black Forest cake and cassis plus hints of roses, dried Provence herbs, tobacco and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied with generous, expressive fruits supported by plush tannins and just enough freshness, it finishes long. This is quite an opulent, decadent Trotanoy! 96-98/100

-- Wine Enthusiast: A seriously structured wine, this has firm tannins, dark rich fruit and great concentration. The black plum flavor is a counterpoint to the dry tannins and ample acidity. It obviously has excellent aging potential; drink from 2024. 94-96/100

-- Wine Spectator: Ripe and focused, with sleek tobacco and mineral edges alongside the core of cassis and bitter cherry fruit. There's a nice tug of earth throughout too, and this has serious length, with ample reserves. 93-96/100
