Striking nose of flint and super-ripe lemon with subtle oak shadings. On the palate, there’s great integration of fruit, creaminess from long sur-lie maturation and toasty oak. Needs quite a bit of air, but really opens up in the glass, then pulls you into its depths. Wonderful harmony at the very long, silky finish. Drink or hold. 96/100
