A lithe marathon runner that’s just set off on its long journey. Lemon balm, chamomile and lemon zest. At once sleek and fine-grained, with bright, stony acidity that lights up the delicate citrus-fruit aromas. Super-focused, salty finish. Harvested in early November. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2023. Screw cap. 94/100

The 2021 Riesling Zehnmorgen GG is from the only limestone terroir in Nierstein that is paradoxically located on the bottom of the red slop, which is Rotliegend. It is deep, pure and fresh on the aromatic nose that reveals ripe and concentrated fruit with notes of crushed stones. This is a full-bodied, lush and elegant Riesling with rather smooth acidity and lingering salinity and vitality. Crunchy tannins on the aftertaste and delicate bitters. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022. 92+/100
