The 2019 La Calma has to be one of the finest vintages for this unique bottling of Chenin Blanc, and to me, it has the character for the Loire grape, with honey and beeswax, a wine that surprises you and has a strong personality and character. It has moderate ripeness and alcohol (13%) and great balance and depth; it is round, complex, elegant and nuanced, and with the stony seriousness of the limestone soils from Garraf. 2,000 bottles were filled in October 2020. 95/100

Carlos Estevas første forsøg med vindyrkning fandt sted på øen Menorca. Men han kom først rigtig i gang i 1979, da han overtog sin bedstefars vingård i Garraf, en barsk kystregion i udkanten af Barcelona.
