Condrieu fra Guigal er en stor klassiker. En god portion af Condrieu-appellationen går til denne vin. En tredjedel af vinen er gæret og modnet på nye træfade fra godsets eget tonnelleri, resten i rustfrit stål for at få det dejlige grønlige spark af friskhed. Kvæde, grøn abrikos, sød kalksten, forårsblomster. Legende, men alligevel fyldig og tæt, med støvet mineralitet, lidt blomsterhonning og bivoks i den runde, smidige finish. Fantastisk balance med de typiske animerende æteriske bitterstoffer fra knuste blomster og hvid te. Lang og fyldig, meget god.

Den kontrastrige og ekstreme årgang 2022 fremstår utroligt mangfoldig og fascinerende i Rhône-området. Mens det køligere nord frembringer storslåede, fyldige og samtidig stramme århundredets vine med moderat alkoholindhold, er det især de ældgamle vinstokke i syd, der leverer dybsindige, historiske kvaliteter.

The classic 2022 Condrieu is outstanding, with quintessential aromatics of fresh apricots, honeyed flowers, and a kiss of background, classy oak. Brought up in one-third new barrels, it's medium to full-bodied, has a balanced, elegant mouthfeel, and a vibrant sense of freshness. I love it and would drink bottles any time over the coming 4-6 years. 93/100

The 2022 Condrieu is adorable. Ripe apricot, white peach, melon, spring blossom and yellow apple give this medium- to full-bodied Condrieu tons of character. Toe to toe with the equally delicious 2020 rendition, the 2022 Condrieu combines great energy and juicy ripe fruits with soft yet refreshing acidity. 92/100

Mainly crafted from purchased grapes, the 2022 Condrieu from Guigal is always a delicate, elegant rendition of this appellation. Evoking aromas of ripe apricots, honeysuckle, pear and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, round and sappy with a seamless, enveloping texture, concluding in a long, delicate and ethereal finish enhanced by gastronomic bitterness. Consistently well-crafted, this Condrieu is engaging and quintessential to its origin.

67 høstår blev bragt ind af bedstefar Etienne Guigal selv. Barnebarnet Phillippe husker med glæde de daglige gåture gennem den "hellige" vinkælder, hvor han fik lov til at bære bedstefars pipette og vinglas, mens Etienne gik sine kærlige runder gennem egetræstøndernes paradis.
