Godello og Treixadura i et blandet sæt, 70 år gammel, køligt klima i stor højde, mange små parceller plantet, hvor der var plads. Maceration i 24 timer, derefter spontangæring og modning i brugt træ. Gul i farven, knust æble og kvæde i smagen, en flydende silkeagtig strøm med en helt harmonisk syrestruktur. Mild, cremet og frisk på samme tid med en fremragende let bitterhed fra mosten. Passer som hånd i handske, fantastisk vin. Dramatisk spænding, virkelig elegant.

Den spektakulære årgang 2023 betragtes i Spanien som en milepæl inden for elegance. Vinen er betydeligt mere afbalanceret end 2022 og fremstår som en moden, ualmindelig harmonisk version af 2020. Den charmerer med en stenet reduktion, en betagende renhed og en præcis symmetri af absolut verdensklasse.

There's a lot more depth and complexity in the 2023 Cepas Viejas, a white from old vines. It has a high-pitched nose with notes of cloves and other spices intermixed with herbal notes and hints of bay leaf. It was a challenging year, with rain in September after a warm summer. The wines are lighter than those from 2022, with very good freshness. It has a deeper color and a creamy palate, with good ripeness and development of aromas and flavors, with complexity and nuance. It should develop nicely in bottle. It was produced with approximately 70% Godello, 20% Treixadura and 10% Albariño. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2024.

The 2023 Cepas Viejas Blanco Guímaro is composed of 70% Godello, 20% Treixadura, 5% Albariño, and 5% Doña Branca from Amandi in Ribeira Sacra, aged for 11 months on lees in barrels. Aromas include pineapple and white flowers. It is indulgent on the palate, with significant volume and a delicate touch of oak. The 2023 is rich, layered, complex, and persistent, with a fruit-driven finish.
