The 2023 Ultreia Rapolao, like in 2022, matured exclusively in foudre, as they have eliminated the barrels for the élevage. This comes from the old part in a slope that was planted with a field blend of different varieties. It's super clean, a constant in the Ultreia 2023s, floral and expressive, with a fine-boned palate and fine tannins. 1,200 bottles produced.

Fleshy, nervy and expressive, with aromas of dried flowers and a sense of underlying energy. The palate is layered with fine-grained tannins that lend precision and grip. There's a great interplay between tension, fruit and structure, resulting in a wine that feels both firm and vibrant, with savory depth and character. Drink or hold.
