The Echézeaux from Anne Gros is among the best in the appellation in 2023, with lovely red and black fruit aromas touched with earth and spice and a firm mineral underpinning. The texture is firmly tannic, almost massive, and the finish is satisfyingly long. This wine is produced from 0.35 hectares in Loachausses, although this will not be noted on the label. There have been some adjustments in the Gros family holdings here between Anne and her cousins, but she has done admirably well with the portion that remains to her.
