Købt i sommeren 2025 fra Domaine's skatkammer som en sen frigivelse, dvs. perfekt lagret. De ædelsøde Pinot Gris fra Rangen de Thann er utvivlsomt de bedste i verden. Ingen kan gøre det som Zind! Et orgie af tørret frugt, figner, ferskner, dadler, baklava, safran og kanel, æbletærte. Man kan bare dufte til den i al evighed og hele tiden opdage nye facetter. Tæt, kraftfuld mundfølelse med ædle bitre noter af grapefrugtskal og valnød. En drøm til foie gras. 98/100

A blockbuster of epic proportions, the compelling 2000 Tokay-Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos St.-Urbain has the breadth, body, and depth of a great red wine. This opulently structured offering is full-bodied, velvety-textured, and jam-packed with layers of minerals, smoke, and spice whose flavors seem to gain momentum in its interminable finish. Projected maturity: 2007-2025.Olivier Humbrecht describes 2000 as "a year of excellent ripeness where the key to success was sorting out the bad rot prior to harvesting." To accomplish this, Humbrecht sent out teams to go through every parcel, dropping whatever bunches had been infected with sour rot. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht's harvest lasted 6 weeks, with one-fourth being accomplished between September 19 and October 5th, and the remaining three-fourths picked by October 31st. 97/100
