Let go of the narrow human world and fall into this expansive dry riesling that busts out of the conventional framework for the grape variety. And that's what makes it so difficult to describe. However, there is certainly more yellow fruit (mirabelle, but also a hint of pineapple) than white (some ripe pear) and the minerality is huge, yet totally precise and delicate. The finish really doesn't want to stop! From biodynamically grown grapes with Respekt certification. 100/100

The 2019 Morstein Riesling GG is open and chalky on the intense, deep, elegant and refined lemon-scented nose. Lush and precise on the palate, this is a refined, enormously energetic and silky-textured dry Riesling with very fine tannins, great tension, finesse and stimulating salinity. Morstein fans shouldn't miss the 2019! Tasted as a sample in April 2020. 95-96+/100
