En standard Sauvignon Blanc med stikkelsbær og græs er kedelig i mine øjne. Og det er netop derfor, jeg er så begejstret for Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc. Det er sådan, sauvignon blanc fungerer. Saftig med frisk syre, efterfulgt af en blød og rund tekstur. Passionsfrugt, lime og duftende melon, ledsaget af tørrede urter. Dette er en slags hvid Bourgogne fra Loire med en fabelagtig og cremet, frisk finesse. 93/100

The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has such a maritime nose of ocean spray, beeswax, saltbush and wet rocks, but it's also steely; there's graphite and pencil shavings. What a joy. In the mouth, the wine floods every available square millimeter with flavor. This is elegant, saturated with fruit flavor and textural too. Super wine. This is a classy estate growing organic fruit (the largest organic grower in New Zealand) and responsible for wines that drink well now and cellar well too. Blue chip. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. 94/100

It offers delightful texture, making an attractive light-bodied wine with some appealing succulence through the mid-palate, potentially due to lower yields. A triumph in a difficult year, showing rigorous selection. 92/100
