From the northern parts of the appellation, the 2020 Saint Joseph Le Passage has a beautiful, mineral-laced style, and it's classic Saint Joseph with its darker, peppery, earthy aromas and flavors. It's nicely concentrated and medium to full-bodied, with wonderful tannins and a great finish. It's a brilliant Saint Joseph that I'd put up with the best in appellation. 93/100

Wine Spectator om: Saint Joseph Le Passage

Ripe and lush, with a core of dense blueberry, fig paste and damson plum fruit buoyed by spicy tannins, salt, smoked meat and iodine. Though modern in profile, this has impressive poise and stature through the tightly coiled, vibrant finish. Best from 2025 through 2035. 93/100

Suckling om: Saint Joseph Le Passage

Blackberries, dark cherries, roasted meat, smoke and sweet spices on the nose follow through to a medium to full body. Creamy tannins and a generous amount of cherries and berries are lifted by the peppery notes that are omnipresent in these wines. Vibrant with a sharp and focused long finish. Drink or hold. 93/100
