The 2018 Riesling Saarburger Rausch Auslese *** (White Capsule) is deep, pure and fresh on the stony, complex nose that reveals a fine intensity of concentrated fruits with refreshing lime-rind aromas. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, this is a very intense and powerful Rausch with ripe and crystalline acidity intertwined with persistent salinity and mineral tension. This 2018 is complex, very concentrated, tight and powerful and needs years to gain finesse. A still challenging yet talented Saar Riesling from the Rauch. Tasted at the domain in September 2020. 95/100
