This is what you get when you let 124-year-old ungrafted wines make their own Riesling, albeit with a little help from red slate, a traditional basket press and ambient yeast. The result is a gentle and filigree fragrance, in which herbs, green and yellow fruit, minerals and spices deliver a perfect team performance. Don't expect your palate to be ambushed; this is subtlety par excellence with not a mineral grain out of place. And so smooth! (MS) 19.5/20
