This Bussia, with its southeast exposure shines for the freshness of its fruit. Compared to Cerretta, here the more elegant and less extractive Antinori style for Prunotto becomes even clearer. Considered one of the sternest MGAs of the appellation in terms of style, this 2019 is perfumed with blood orange, dill and liquorice. An assertive citrus character soaks the juicy, velvety tannins, becoming more austere and rustic on the finish without losing freshness. 94/100

Flowers and dried strawberries with hints of sandalwood and rosewood. Plenty of flowers. Medium body. Very fine and firm tannins. Crunchy and bright. Drinkable but better in three or four years. 94/100

Galloni om: Barolo Bussia

The 2019 Barolo Bussia is a wine of precision, energy and understated structure. A whole range of balsamic notes open first. Layered and dynamic on the palate, with terrific depth, the 2019 sizzles with energy that carries through to the mid-palate and finish. In this tasting, the Bussia is wonderfully vivid right out of the gate. 94/100

I 1923 hjalp Alfredo Prunotto med at genoplive kooperativet "Vine delle Langhe" i Alba, som var kommet i vanskeligheder efter Første Verdenskrig. Den meget unge Alfredo havde været sekretær og rådgiver, siden kooperativet blev grundlagt i Serralunga i 1904.
