What an enveloping and totally sensual bouquet this great Alsace pinot noir has! The nose makes you feel that you’re floating in a cloud of flowers, but then on the palate there’s terrific power and focus, the minerally acidity and generous, fine-grained tannins driving the spectacularly long and invigorating finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. 97/100

From the west-facing part of the cru and with almost a meter layer of clay topping the limestone rocks, Zusslin's 2017 Bollenberg Pinot Noir Luft is pure, fresh and intense on the iodine-like, puristic, precise and mineral nose. Silky, refined and lush on the palate, with great mineral tension but also finesse, this is a very long, fresh, pure and saline Pinot Noir with remarkably fine tannins and a long, fresh and aromatic finish. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Barr, Alsace, in November 2022. 96/100
