A very elegant riesling with all the spring-like delicacy we associate with the Ruwer Valley (the smallest sub-region of the Mosel region). Barely off-dry, in fact it is easily dry enough for the dining table. A wealth of white tree fruits on the front palate, then it gently turns in the herbal direction at the long filigree finish. Drink or hold. 93/100

A spicy and herbal classic in the Grünhaus style to hear Maximin von Schubert's take. Spice and herbal elements have become the estate's signature over its storied history. Feinherb is an older term that means off-dry, similar to a Halbtrocken; this bottling is a blend of the barrels remaining after the single-vineyard fruity wines have been selected from the overall production. Mouthfuls of juicy fruits, great ripe acidity, sweet peach notes and juicy lime are framed by stone and gravel minerality. 93/100
