Grain Pinot Les Dahrres
From the eponymous vineyard in Chamoson (to the right bank of the Rhône) and aged in Burgundian barrels for eight months, the 2023 Grain Pinot Les Dahrres is clear, pure, bright, fresh and intense on the nose that is reminiscent of tart sour cherries, green leaf notes, toast, salt, herbs and red berries. On the palate, this is a light and silky yet intense and concentrated, round and elegant, fruity and refreshing Pinot Noir with a firm but fine tannin structure and an overall Alpine performance. There are peppery notes on the intense and cherry-tinted finish. It's a serious red wine for now and the next couple of years. 13.6% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in November 2024.
